WWI came to an end 100 years ago: on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month. To mark the centennial anniversary of the Armistice of 1918, and to honour the memory of all Canadians who served in the Great War, the Royal Canadian Mint created a commemorative coin. The replica of a soldier’s Mark I steel helmet, it’s an exceptional feat of craftsmanship and the first extreme curvature coin the Mint has ever produced.
Royal Canadian Mint approached St. Joseph Communications (SJC) to create a 15 to 30-second animated video in English and French to help launch the coin on web and social in conjunction with the 100th anniversary.
