Legions of cocktail lovers have hoped for TCW’s return since it was last held in the city in 2013. St. Joseph Media is presenting an all-new incarnation. Its focus is to promote the city’s world-class bars and bartenders through a neighbourhood-focused bar guide, themed gala events, guided tours, and a downtown TCW18 headquarters programmed with seminars and a nightly pop-up bar graced by guest bartenders from across Canada. TCW18 will be the city’s landmark event for beverage alcohol brands, industry members and consumers alike, growing to become an annual destination for the global bar industry and visitors to experience Toronto’s legendary cocktail culture.
TCW18 is backed by a five-person advisory panel of industry veterans including Christina Veira (Bartender and philanthropist), Christine Sismondo (Author and Drinks Columnist), Max Valiquette (Three-time host of Terroir and Culture Expert), Maryam Sanati (Managing Director, Content, St. Joseph Media), and Robin Goodfellow (Founder/Owner of Bar Raval, Prettyugly, Harry’s Charbroiled and Little Bones Beverage Co.).
This announcement follows St. Joseph Media’s acquisition of Toronto Beer Week, a 9-day series of events taking place across bars, restaurants and breweries and other venues in September, now in its ninth year.
