The 360-Degree Sneaker Video That Could

To showcase a new sneaker launched at Toronto Fashion Week, we created a 360-degree video that proved to be the top performing piece of content on social.

A highlight of last week’s Toronto Fashion Week (TFW) was Canadian designer Christoper Bates’ debut of a cool new sneaker made in collaboration with MTV. The all-black shoe includes elements from each: rock-inspired metal studs and the MTV logo, as well as black patent leather and Bates’ signature kiss motif.

To effectively showcase these details, St. Joseph Media, as the proud content partner of TFW, engaged our Content Group to create a 360-degree video that did just that – in only five seconds. Featured on the TFW website and on our thetitlemag.com, the video was also shared on social channels for TFW, Title Magazine and our Toronto Life, a media partner of TFW. In its first three days, the video amassed over 88,000 views.

“This 360-degree video is proving to be the top performing piece of content on social media,” says Jacqueline Loch, VP & Group Publisher of St. Joseph Media. “While the numbers are still rolling in, I would estimate that to date it has out-performed traditional video by eight times.”
