SJC is excited to announce the appointment of Liz Guber as the new Editor-in-Chief of FASHION, effective August 12, 2024. Guber brings a wealth of experience and a passion for authenticity to lead the next chapter of this iconic Canadian fashion publication.
Guber's career in media began at ELLE Canada, where she honed her skills in production, digital strategy and style editing. She then joined The Kit, where she championed coverage of Canadian brands and an emphasis on sustainability and mindful consumption.
In 2021, Guber joined the U.S. media startup Girlboss as Editorial Director. Under her leadership, Girlboss relaunched key digital properties, including the Girlboss Daily newsletter and the Girlboss Radio podcast, both of which experienced significant growth. Guber was promoted to General Manager in 2023, where she launched new revenue channels and oversaw strategic direction.
Guber's work has appeared in top Canadian publications, including the Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail and FASHION. Her writing often explores the cultural, societal and psychological underpinnings of style trends.
