Our content studio, Strategic Content Labs, worked with the university to build a holistic content strategy across digital and social platforms to raise awareness for their Food Institute. This included designing and building a new website and a broad array of content including articles, graphics, videos and podcasts. Seminars were also held to educate university staff on social media strategies and methodologies, across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Reddit and beyond.
While the strategy was built for a number of fundraising opportunities in the coming two years, the first decision, from a federal government program called the Canada First Research Excellence Fund, awarded the university a $76.6 million grant to pursue a six-year project called Food From Thought, the largest single grant in its history. Overall, the university has raised more than $117 million for the institute as a result of this campaign.
This project was given a Gold Award in Education category at the International Content Council’s Pearl Awards in New York.
